Materials to Enrich Learning
Funded Jun 16, 2022I work with students on an individual basis and as a whole class. it is fantastic to have students quickly show me answers or work together as students on problems. By having whiteboards, we can use them for almost every and anything!
Using whiteboards is a very quick way to get answers, and we save paper at the same time. It's a very quick way to check for understanding as well.
The whiteboards I had, I've used in my classroom for the past 25 years, so when my class received their new whiteboards, they were so excited! They couldn't wait to practice cursive writing, and asked if they could give answers using their new boards during math. :)”

Funded Aug 22, 2022The whiteboards that have been in my classroom had twenty-five years of writing on them. They were worn out and desperately needed to be replaced. When the new boards showed up, students were so excited to exchange their old boards for new ones!
The back side has lines for students to use for cursive and print handwriting practice. I usually have to ask them to practice, but yesterday for the first time, as students finished their classwork, I would look around the room and see students practicing their writing on the backside.
Students use the other side to help them solve problems, or for a quick response to a question, students will write the answer and I will say "show me your work" and they hold up their boards. As a teacher, I can quickly assess their knowledge.
We can't thank you enough for funding out new whiteboards!”

Funded Jun 12, 2022I allow my students to sit anywhere they want while they are learning and working on their classwork. By having these lap desks, students can collaborate together while they are comfortable and learning.
Students have enjoyed using them and I've had to draw sticks so that they can take turns and not fight over using them. Students really like using them!
These are fantastic and have added so much happiness to my classroom. We truly appreciate your kindness in funding these for us!
They are very durable and strong.”

Funded Jun 10, 2019I was nervous for Open House with my parents, I wasn't sure how they were going to take the look of my classroom with the flex seating. I was shocked and surprised by how many parents told me that they LOVED my classroom and thanked me for being brave enough to try this.
Students the first day were a bit unsure of what was going on. Once I explained my classroom set up, they became happy and focused on procedures so that they would be able to use the flexible seating in the appropriate way.
We are into our second week of school and students have already begun to flex to the couch (futon). I have noticed that my classroom is quieter and students are working and staying on task much more than those sitting in usual seating. They enjoy sitting in other ways. We have yoga balls, roller chairs, a picnic table, and we LOVE the beautiful futon and coffee table. I feel as if saying thank you is not enough, but thank you!”

Mrs. Evans
