Our elementary allows students to come in to their classroom half an hour before the school day starts. During this time they are able to come and play in the classroom. This allows for the students to interact with their classmates in a fun way. It also allows me, the teacher, to get to know my students better. During this time, students are given an opportunity to talk with their peers and teacher before starting on their academic work. If they had a rough morning, morning choice time allows the students to settle in and have a positive experience to start the day! My students will use these resources daily as they come in each morning! This will help students have a positive start to each school day. A positive start to each morning will increase productivity in my students' education and learning! My students love to build and work with their hands. Using the magnetic toys, building blocks, and marble run students can work together and create something as a class. Not only does this start the day off right, but it builds community within the class!
