  • In Need of an Area to Play!

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

    It is with great gratitude that my students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The new rugs will be added to the library and the kitchen areas of our classroom. The new additions will not only enhance their play areas but they will also entice the students to spend more time reading books.

    The students are very excited about their new rugs. They will be able to sit and lay on them and feel at home. Your donations came at a most appropriate time. With the days getting a little colder, the boys and girls will be able to enjoy reading their books on a cozy, comfy rug instead of a cold hard floor.

    With the addition of the rugs, especially in the library, I am hoping to start publishing students created story. The students are enjoying spending more time in the library, so I know they are going to love the idea of sharing their own books with their classmates.”

  • Learning Through Art and Creative Expression

    The students were elated to have the play-dough. We are using the play-dough to work on our fine motor skills. Our extended project is the "Letter of the Week," students will be using the art materials to create masterpieces. We made an alligator face for the letter "A". They were able use the scissors and the glue for our first creation. We will continue to use the supplies throughout the year. The "Letter of the Week" is an on going project that culminates in an alphabet book with all their creations.”

  • Making Better Virtual Students With Headphones

    Your amazing willingness to help my class has been an enormous help to my students. The headphones have helped them to focus on the computer, not their surrondings.

    The students are able listen to the lessons and contribute to discussions on the topic at hand. Participation has improved dramatically. We are very grateful for your generosity.

    Having said this, due to Covid-19 and the impact it has had on our school community I was not able to get photos of students with the headphones. Thank you again.”

  • I Can Write My Letters and Numbers!!

    I want to begin by thanking you for your generosity! This year has been especially difficult for everyone, that is why I am so grateful to you for the writing boards.

    Usually my students have all the tools they need to begin writing letters, and numbers. This school year is different, my students have to rely on the tools they have at home. Writing paper for Pre-k is not an everyday item found in most homes. These writing boards will give my students the appropriate lines needed to create letters and numbers properly.

    My students will be able to practice writing letters and numbers over and over.”

  • ABC and 123. We Love to Learn!

    I would like to start by thanking all who made my request possible. The students are enjoying the tablets and are eager to work on them. They are learning their letters and numbers. They are also using them to learn how to write letters and numbers by using the tracing apps that are available in the Google Store.

    It has been an awesome experience for my students. They are now able to use current technology. I was able to retire my own 1st generation iPad that was given to me many, many years ago. Even though the iPad worked, the new tablets are faster and take less time to charge, giving my students more time to use them to enhance there learning.

    My students and I are very grateful for the genorousity of the all the donors. Thank you, again for making the learning process for my students a little easier. You are helping grow a generation of tech savy studnets.”
