  • Readers Want to Read!

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

Thank you for helping me fund this project. The addition of these wonderful, new book series will surely pique the interest of my students, no matter their reading abilities. We love to have class story time, buddy reading, and of course students enjoy independent reading every day. Thank you again for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bourbeau

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! Your kindness and generosity means the world to me and will ensure that my students start the year off right, with a clean, new rug. It might not seem like a big deal, but it really is a BIG DEAL! Please know that I will pay this forward!”

  • Snug as a Bug in a Rug

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you for your kind donations and generosity. My students and I are very appreciative and enjoy our spacious carpet every single day! In second grade, the rug is a place where whole group lessons in reading, writing, math, and social studies all take place. It's also a place where group work, independent reading, and even free play happen.

Without our rug, the class wouldn't feel as warm and welcoming. Our classroom is a safe space for our students and we want them to feel happy and comfortable every time they enter. We definitely accomplish that with this vibrant, colorful rug. Thank you again for showing kindness through your donations to the second grade Hurley students!”

  • We Need Ink to Print What We Think!

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you very much for your kind donations! We have already used up one of the toners that you helped donate! Our copy machine at school seems to always need maintenance so having our classroom printer with plenty of toner is essential for providing my students with the materials they need.

We have used it to print morning work, math sheets, social studies work, and books, just to name a few. It doesn't only benefit our class. When there is another teacher in desperate need to print something, we're happy to share the wealth! Your gift really goes a long way. Thank you for sharing the love!”

  • Roomy Rug & Ink Ink Baby

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

I cannot thank you enough for donating to this project. Believe it or not, we have already used up all of the color ink for our printer! The ink was put to very good use

by printing up images of our weekly vocabulary words, pictures of animals and their habitats, construction vehicles and tools, and photographs of our daily projects.

When my students first saw our beautiful, new, giant rug, they were jumping for joy! The shape and color patterns make it easy to give everyone their own personal space and it also makes it fun for creating groups to work in! It is bright, happy, and best of all, CLEAN!

We are well into our construction unit and have an exciting project called "Our Boston" coming up, where we will be thinking about ways to make Boston a fairer and more interesting place for children. I hope to share some of our wonderful ideas with you!”

  • ABCs and 123s of Kindergarten Classroom Basic Supplies

    Funded Oct 25, 2019

With your help, my students have been able to use their imaginations to create and learn through play and making art. I have a very creative group this year that uses basic materials like construction paper, pipe cleaners, glue, markers and crayons at a rapid pace!

Currently, we are wrapping up our unit on animals and their habitats. They have been able to use these resources to create a whole woodland habitat in our dramatic play area, including a giant tree, a salmon run, and lots of woodland creatures, such as owls, squirrels, and wolves!

My students were over the moon when they saw our new dot markers and paints for the easel center, all the construction paper and pipe cleaners, and of course our new roll of story writing paper. Your generosity is very much appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bourbeau

  • Keeping Kinders Organized

    Funded Aug 13, 2019

Thank you very much for your generosity and helping us to start the year off right. Our kindergartners are already able to be much more organized than ever before. The seat back storage helps keeps papers, folders, notebooks, and papers safe and together. Each student has their own set back with their names so they also help build their letter recognition and help in spelling their names. The pencils and sharpener are used every day. The pencils are also larger which allows for better grip and helps kids write without tears. Lastly, we have already put the markers and crayons to good use coloring pictures, matching colors to words, and expressing our creative side. Without your help we wouldn't have had these vitals tools that have made a major impact on our year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Bourbeau

This is my first year teaching kindergarten. I would like to start the year off with the basic tools and supplies that will allow my students be successful. My students need Ticonderoga triangular large pencils which will allow them to properly manipulate the pencils as they gain confidence in their fine motor skills. We also need markers, color pencils and a pencil sharpener. Additionally, my students need new seat backs in which to store their supplies. We work at tables, so all of their materials are kept in their seat backs. My students deserve clean, functional seat backs to store their materials.
