I found an amazing charter school I am working for. A man who realized that the school system in Nevada was not the best founded the school I work for. He opened up the school to provide his daughter with the best education, and he knew that other parents had the same desires he did. The principal at the school is beyond amazing. He has a true passion for teaching, supporting staff, supporting families, and supporting students. We have created a positive school culture and I want to help support that even more by positively improving the learning environment in my classroom. It has taught me the importance of differentiating instruction by having my students rotate stations in class and being part of the Walk to Read program. All of this is centered on providing equity education for each individual student and meeting their specific needs. I need flashcards to help with math and reading fluency. Headphones will help students have access to their computers for individual instruction. I could use storage to help students stay organized as well as keep additional materials for students in the classroom. Please help support my project! Standards I am focusing on: I can make sentences stronger by adding extra details (L.1.1j) Use frequently occurring adjectives. (L1.1f) CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.OA.C.6 Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. (RF1.3) I can write an informative text. (W.1.2) Use common, proper nouns (L1.1b) CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.OA.A.1 RL1.3 Describe characters, setting, and major events in a story I can make sentences stronger by adding where. (L.1.1j) CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.OA.B.4 CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.1.OA.B.3 Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. (RF1.3) Use illustrations and details in a story to describe its characters, setting, or events. (RL1.7)
