• Who Doesn't Love a Good Series?

  From the moment my students were welcomed back into my classroom they instantly gravitated to the library, asking if they are able to use the books and where I had gotten them all from! I made sure to tell them about all of you that helped to make their classroom library a complete success. They were shocked and completely elated to know that there were people out there willing to help them have an awesome experience with books. Without a doubt, independent reading is one of their favorite parts of the reading block and having this beautiful library has made motivating them a breeze! I am so grateful for your investment in my current group of kids and future students to come!”

• Virtual Summer School

  Your support with this project was especially heart warming for me. It was my first Donors Choose project and I posted it soon after many of our lives as we knew them changed. Schools were closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and I knew that I would be teaching virtual summer school. I instantly thought of how most of our summer school students are especially low income. We also learned throughout the previous semester when we made the big switch that many of my students did not have books that they could read at home so our students and parents were so excited and grateful to pick up this package of books and supplies. I made sure to let them know about all of you that helped make this possible. I was able to guide my lessons to align with these books and they were excited to have the books physically in their hands to keep forever! Many students took particular interest in the books and would stay after class to tell me about what they had read and cool facts they had learned. It was an amazing experience and we are forever grateful to all of you!”
