It is essential to provide technology for all students but most especially for those students who are identified with disabilities. With the use of tablets such as the Shine-2 tablets from Kaplan Early Learning, I will be able to plan, modify, and implement lessons for my students on an individual basis. I am excited to think that each of the core subjects, including math, reading, science, health and even social skills, can be delivered through technology. Most importantly, the use of tablets do not take away from the direct instruction from the teacher, but they do provide an alternative method of keeping easily distracted students on task and a different source of teaching delivery for skills that need practice.

About my class
