• A Safe and Clean Classroom

  I am grateful for your generous donations for the project "A Safe and Clean Classroom". The cleaning products have helped to keep the classroom clean and sanitized. The students were excited to see all of the supplies and enjoy helping to keep the classroom clean. They have taken ownership of being able to keep their personal spaces clean and tidy. The students enjoy coming into a clean classroom.

  In science the students are gearing up to learn about pollution and conservation. Students will learn how pollution effects the environment and the humans impact on the environment. As a third grade team we are looking forward to creating a recycling art project and may complete a conservation project on the school grounds.”

• Plugged in and Ready to Learn

  Thank you so much for your generous donations for the project "Plugged In". The headphones have made a significant impact on my students learning. The students were excited to open the package of headphones. Once they were able to use the headphones the students were engaged in their online lessons.

  Having the headphones in the classroom allow students the opportunity to work on their online assignments with outside interruptions. Students are able to complete online diagnostics, assessments and classwork without disturbing their peers. The head phones allow to student to work independently and focus on the learning task and meet their individual goals. Again I am grateful for your generosity.”

• Get Focused with Flexible Seating!

• Growing World Readers (Future Leaders)

  When I first saw people donating to the project Growing World Readers (Future Leaders), I was excited to know that so many people wanted to support my student's literacy growth. The box arrived before the school year began. When the students returned the first week of school, they were excited to see the new books in the class library.

  The diverse classroom library allows my students to learn about other cultures and expand their vocabulary. Students read the books during their independent reading time. They enjoy going to the class library to choose the books. Some of the books were read as part of social emotional learning lessons. While others will be used as part of reading comprehension lessons. Your generosity has provided my students with new books that have sparked a love for reading in my classroom.”

• STEAM: Exploring Paleontology

  I am so grateful for your generosity. My student will be excited to receive the supplies for the Fossils STEAM unit. They will be able to be paleontologist and excavate fossils through hands on activities. They will be able explore and dig deeper understanding of they types of fossils and how they are formed. • Tablets and Technology for our STEAM Initiative

  I cannot express how grateful and overjoyed I am that you donated to my project, Tablets and Technology for Our STEAM Innovations. When I first saw that you had given to the project I was overwhelmed. The tablets provided my students with the ability to access online resources and curriculum. They were engaged in small group and independent activities in reading, math, science and social studies.

  The students were excited when they unboxed the Amazon Fire tables and accessories. They were engaged in learning games/applications, digital books, and other online resources that provided personalized instruction. For example, students who needed extra practice in multiplication were able to play math games that drilled multiplication facts which increases their fluency. The access to digital books provided access to more diverse books which helped to I crease their knowledge, vocabulary and reading fluency.
