Sharp Crayons Can Inspire Us!
Funded Oct 26, 2023When the students saw how excited I was about the new additional toys in the classroom they were curious to know what was inside the 2 boxes. When they realized what the items were, they were thrilled to know when they could start using these new resources. The students were able to use the sharpeners to add great details to their speeches. They rushed over to find dull crayons and broken colored pencils to be sharpened. These items inspired them to dig deep inside themselves to create wonderful pieces to persuade others to change. They do enjoy being creative artists with these new resources. I can't wait to see what these future artists create!”

Funded Mar 2, 2021I was able to successfully use the camera to demonstrate some of the newest writing we had been working on in class. The kids appreciate the clarity of the camera during our remote learning session because they say it's easy to see the shared writing or even see the pictures more clearly. One student exclaimed how this camera was so much better than the other one. Being able to use the camera has made life SO MUCH easier in all subject areas. The best part! We learned how to share the screen so we can use the camera on half the computer and the other half is whatever workbook page or writing assignment. The kids and I thank you for your consideration and generosity! Without your constant support of teachers, I don't know how we would be surviving right now.”

Digital Tool Kits
Funded Oct 14, 2020The scanner arrived at the perfect moment. To start the school year with our students we needed to work remotely with them. So we met with our entire class for 5 school days before we even got a chance to begin seeing them in person. I needed to prepare to coordinate with several other teachers on the grade, including teachers who are working remotely from their homes. So in order to share something created by the in-school teachers, the only way to get a copy to those at home was to scan it.
We have already used the scanner to upload curriculum planning calendars so EVERY teacher in 2nd grade can get a copy. I have also used the scanner to take charts that we would normally give out to students in person or even hang in the classroom a home on our Google Classroom Home Page.
This scanner is going to be such a lifesaver, and even if we are lucky enough to return to "normal" school days again, the ability to digitally store all my lessons and charts and EVEN student school work to share with their parents, the school community or even future students makes this work so much easier and faster. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Chae
