Real World Play for Little People!
Funded Aug 27, 2022Thank you so much for donating to make this project possible in my classroom! Throughout the past year we have had so much fun creating memories with the materials provided with your donation. It gave us the opportunity to create a monthly dramatic play center. Some of the centers we created this past year with the materials were: an apple orchard, pumpkin patch, hot coco shop, flower shop, post office, pizza parlor, and a campsite. Every time I would change the center my students would get so excited and would sometimes argue over who got to go there first! Thank you again for creating so many memories in my classroom! I can't wait to use all the materials and create new memories again next year!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Charles Schwab and 5 other donors.Today a Writer, Tomorrow a Leader!
Funded Mar 5, 2020Thank you so much for donating to my project "Today a Writer, Tomorrow a Leader". Due to the Corona-Virus my students last year did not get to enjoy the supplies that came to our school from this project but, it has made a tremendous difference in my teaching this year and the students this year! Since there are two completely different things that you helped supply in my classroom I would love to talk about them separately.
First, the new plastic tubs! The new tubs that we were able to get are so sturdy and reliable! I no longer have to worry when one of my students accidentally drops their tub that it will crack as soon as it hits the floor. This is a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders in the matter of safety in my classroom! They are also much easier for the students to carry because they aren't so flimsy like the other ones! Which saves the students a lot of play time because they aren't dropping them as much! We are so grateful for your donation that helped us have these awesome tubs!
Next, the easel!! My goodness this has made a huge difference in my classroom this year! I have been able to use it as a stable in every lesson. I love the white board surface and love that it has wheels and can be moved around the classroom easily! The students also love when we turn it into a station for ELA & Math and they get to use it as a magnetic surface and spell words and use number identification with it. At this point I couldn't imagine teaching without it!”

Learning Center Fun
Funded Sep 19, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project! Since my students are so little they don't quite understand how great the impact of these supplies have made on our classroom. The card stock and laminating sheets have truly been so awesome!! I have been able to use the paper and laminating sheets to make learning centers, bulletin boards, new name tags for students, and many other fun and exciting things for our classroom. Because of you our classroom games and supplies are lasting much longer thanks to the thickness of paper and the protective lamination. I am also loving making books for my students to enjoy in the library with the awesome binding machine!
My Principals face whenever he brought down how much was funded was priceless. I am forever grateful for everything you have done for my classroom and will continue to do. I am so excited to see what else I can do with the supplies under this project!”

Take a Seat on a Classroom Rug!
Funded Jun 6, 2019Thank you so much again for your generous donation to my project Take A Seat on a Classroom Rug. Because of you I was able to receive two very nice classroom rugs prior to the arrival of students on the first day of school. One rug sits in our library area to make a comfortable and cozy reading area for students. The other is our meeting area rug which is able to hold all my students comfortably on the floor. We use both rugs very often but we use the big meeting area rug the most.
My students love the bright colors on our meeting rug and enjoy sitting on the letter that their name starts with. Throughout the day we read books, hold class meetings, take brain breaks, and most of all learn on our new rug. It is the classroom's common meeting ground and is the perfect rug for kindergartners! The majority of our lessons take place on our rug, providing me with the opportunity to sit on the rug with my students.
One of my favorite things we have done thus far on the rug are our letter lessons. Each day we talk about a new letter of the alphabet. We read a story about words that start with that letter, form the letter out of our bodies, talk about words that start with that letter, and then act like an animal that starts with that letter. All of this while sitting on our cozy classroom rug. Thank you again for providing my students these opportunities to learn!”

Mrs. Neel
