We are requesting materials that will help us face the new challenges of teaching students in the classroom and online. Some of our requested materials such as portable stands for teacher iPads and webcams, a/v adapters, and styluses will allow for a more efficient use of the technology we are using to reach and engage online learners. Other items, such as headphones and presenter remotes, will help use incorporate more technology into our lessons for our classroom learners. Still other materials we are requesting, such as "active learning experiences", dry erase blocks, and comprehension cubes are designed to engage students in the learning process by giving them hands-on activities that initiate cooperation or collaboration with other students. It's SOCIAL Studies! Let's learn it socially. (Distanced of course!) These materials, "Warm-ups in a Jar" for example, will help start conversations between students and teachers while focusing on the historical or cultural content of our lessons. Other materials help optimize the use of technology in our classrooms. Still other supplies here will aid in creating calming learning environments that help students stay focused and free their creativity.
