As exciting it's going to be starting at a new school as a first year teacher, I know I'm going to start with an empty classroom. I know how important it is to give students a classroom safe environment that is organized, consistent, and welcoming.
For that reason, this project is needed to help provide my students an environment that will focus less on clutter and more on organization to narrow their focus in on our areas of studies.
More than 80 percent of my class will be English Learners. For this reason, we will focus a lot on Literacy to improve reading levels, comprehension, vocabulary. The book bins will give my students a wide variety of choice to pick books that will foster their love of reading. The individual book bins will help us keep our supplies in check. Organization and consistency will give us the environment needed to be successful in second grade!
