  • Eliciting Language Through Technology

    Funded Nov 1, 2019

We wanted to send you a heartfelt thank you for your generous donation. The addition of technology into the lessons has been able to aid the students in meeting their goals with a multi-faceted approach. With the iPad we are able to access many different multimedia resources including apps, games, and virtual libraries that include non-fiction sources of information. The apple pencil has added a hands-on approach to improving the recognition and writing of letters and words.

    We thank you very much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Torres

I would like to incorporate iPad technology into my speech and language therapy sessions. There are many online resources and applications that can be used as a supplement to traditional methodologies to help improve the success rates of my students. These tools will be used to help my students reach their goals and be able to communicate and read as proficiently as their peers. It has been found that most students with speech/language disabilities succeed when technology is a part of their multi-sensory treatment/lesson plan.
