Writing Supplies for Success
Funded Aug 11, 2024Thank you so much for your generous support! Your contribution has truly made a difference in our classroom. My students were thrilled when they first saw the new resources; their eyes lit up with excitement, and they immediately began brainstorming ideas for their use.
We're currently working on a writing assignment where they write daily to focus on the different steps of the writing process. I can't wait to see their creativity unfold. The next steps involve researching differenttopics related to the teenage brain. I know they will appreciate the writing materials and headphones you helped provide as they dive into this new learning adventure.”

Funded Sep 18, 2023In noisy classrooms where excessive noise can hinder concentration and learning, headphones play a vital role in reducing unwanted noise and enabling students to concentrate on the audio. For example, during reading time, students can use headphones to listen to audio books, enhancing engagement and comprehension. The school has some headphones available, but the students have to share them. After the COVID-19 pandemic, many students are wary of sharing personal items.
Since we have received the headphones, my students have been able to actively listen to audios of reading passages, watch videos of historical events, and respond to interactive videos. They are able to listen and focus on the task at hand without the distraction of a neighbor's audio. They love having their own as it has allowed them to work without safety/hygiene concerns. I've also noticed that they seem to be more responsible with their personal headphones. They make sure they put them back int their pouches and turn them in at the end of class.
On behalf of the students in my 8th grade ELA and social studies classes, I would like to thank you for your donation. It has definitely made a difference in my classroom.”
