Some say our students are at-risk, but we say they are AT-PROMISE! I teach at a Title I school located in an impoverished area of Prichard, Alabama. While our students are faced with a number of at-risks factors, they continue to overcome their daily challenges. There are significant times throughout the school year that we have students to WOW us, or go above and beyond our expectations. This year we would like to recognize these achievements by giving these students a "special book"! Students will be honored during our monthly assembly and be given their book of choice. We expect this to be a huge incentive that students will go above and beyond for.
