Creative Kids Need Creative Tools!
Funded Sep 7, 2022Since receiving our printer, our students have been able to work on therapy activities and create different artwork that incorporates their interests. These activities have given the students many opportunities to work on various skills, such as improving their fine motor, visual motor, bilateral integration, motor coordination and in-hand manipulation skills. There has also been an increase in motivation to complete tasks during their therapy sessions.
As an occupational therapist working in a school, my schedule can be very busy. Direct accessibility to a printer has been incredibly beneficial in keeping my students' portfolios organized and ready with activities for each day.
Many of my students come from low-income households and do not have the opportunity to have their parents or guardians print pictures for them to color or to create a DIY art project at home. Now, the students are excited to take their artwork and projects home from school to show their families! They also love to see their work displayed in the halls of the school. This is all possible thanks to the generosity of individuals and companies like yours. My students and I are beyond grateful for this gift and will continue to put it to good use!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Scotto
