My students will benefit greatly from the opportunity to have choice seating in the classroom! With wobble stools, free-standing stools, sit cushions, and rolling chairs my first graders will be free to move their body and focus their minds. These will be extremely beneficial for some students that just need to get the wiggles out as well. Not all students need flexible seating, but all student can benefit from the opportunity to choose it for their daily learning. With the things on my wish list; kindermats, wobble chairs, stools and balance ball chairs, my students will be free to choose between all the options for their best fits. Student's attention span is more effective when they are free to wiggle and wobble while learning. Not only will this help our classroom time to be more effective, but it will allow for students to move around the room during centers as well. I will be able to teach the whole brained child with authentic, flexible teaching!
