The implementation of flexible seating in the classroom this year has helped increase engagement and learning. My students all have unique learning needs as they are all in special education and have a difficult time with academic content. Giving my students freedom and option to choose the seating that increases their learning has given them a sense of pride and ownership in their learning. The wobble stools and cushions will provide additional options for my students to truly take ownership of their learning. This will allow my students an opportunity to thrive in an academic environment and increase their self-esteem.
