No Need to Touch
Funded Aug 25, 2020Thanks to your kindness, we have been able to stay safe at school. The thermometer and gloves make that possible. Since the number of children actually going into the building is very small I was able to share some of the gloves with the 2 colleagues. As a result the resources are keeping more children safe.
We were all surprised at the size of the gloves and even though they are longer than normal they serve their purpose. They even help when we have a few runny noses, especially when children accidentally use their hands to wipe their noses. We haven't used the thermometer yet, thanks to parents actually following guidelines. However I do plan to use it to reinforce other learning that will happen in the classroom.
Again a million THANKS!”

I Can Learn at Home, Too!
Funded May 5, 2020Thanks to your generosity I was able to see my students during the pandemic and bring a little joy to their families. The students were surprised that they got to keep the materials.
Most parents loved the calendar that was provided because it helped them continue the learning at home. The backpacks were a total hit. I use them with the whole group and during individual sessions as well.
I was fortunate to move up to Pre-K with most of my students and I was happy to see that they still have the materials. On one our recent classes one student used the slot a shapes during the lesson.
Again this was all possible thanks to your kindness.”

Funded May 7, 2020Thanks to your generosity I was able to see my students during the pandemic and bring a little joy to their families.
The snacks were greatly appreciated. The families were thankful. I wish you could have seen the look on their faces when they received their care packages. When I told the children that they get to keep the toy they were surprised. The bristle builders were a hit We use them to count, sort, and simply play.
It was a humbling experience and I couldn't have done it without your support.”

Funded May 16, 2020Thanks to your generosity, my students were thrilled to know that each one was receiving their own copy of Llama Llama Loves to Read.
We read the book together at the end of the school year. It was a beautiful experience to wrap up the year with a character they love. I was fortunate to move up with my class to Pre-K and when school started, we read the book again at the beginning of the school year. As we read the book we identified the letters of the alphabet, the sound the letters make and other words that began with the same sound.
We can't thank you enough for making this experience possible”

Funded Dec 31, 2019We are so thankful for your donation. When we took out the play dough mats and creature builders my students were ecstatic.
The creature builders were a hit with the students! They built so many different animals it was just amazing. Some children said they made a bid, others built a lion, and others built tigers. As they were building, they identified body parts, they counted and they identified different colors.
The play dough mats were so fun. Most of them looked for the mats that had the letters in their names. Others simply picked a card and we identified items that started with the given letter.
The magnetic boards were helping us develop and strengthen our pencil grasping skills. We were matching letters, sorting by color and practicing writing. When we return to school, I will use these my materials with future classes.
Once again thank you for kindness.”

Funded Oct 2, 2019Thanks to your generosity we are having so much fun while we play. My students were very excited when they saw the materials that will be added to the classroom.
We are currently using the water blocks. These blocks are making water play so meaningful and it goes hand in hand with our current unit of study- Building. Some children are starting to use the unit vocabulary words and we are also doing math while we play. We count the number of floors the building has or how many blocks they using to build their structure.
Once again this is all possible because you cared and donated to our project. We are forever thankful for your kindness.”

Preparing the Future!
Funded Sep 22, 2019My students were very happy when they saw the materials donated to the classroom.
The dry erase table for preschoolers is the best invention ever.
When I told my students that there was a table they could write on and simply erase it once they were done, they could not believe it. We transformed the table into our writing center. After the first couple of months we added paper to the writing center and now they are creating work on the paper. Fast forward a month later and I only have 3 out of 15 children writing accidentally on the table because of the paper size.
All of this was possible because of your generosity. We humbly thank you for your donations.”
