  • Reading is POWER!

    My students and I planned to use these amazing reading materials/resources for small group instruction during the day time especially when some of the low readers are assisted by the instructional aides to work on their letter sounds etc...

    I told my students about these wonderful resources and they were excited. I used the Phonics kit during independent reading time where my lowest readers were using mini dry eraser markers to spell out the words that match the pictures. We will keep using !”

  • Flying Carpet to the Rescue

    My students and I use the colorful carpet on a daily basis. For instant, when I do read aloud, my students will gather at the carpet and I read the weekly story to them. Then they would read the story with their partner. After that, my students and I work on a vocabulary worksheet and/ or a story study guide questions.

    During independently and/or partner reading time. My students love to sit or lie down on the carpet to read. We were so excited when they first saw the carpet for the first time. Whenever I turned on my project to do whole class lesson, my students would use a clipboard and come to the carpet.

    For the future, we will continue to use the carpet!”

  • Coloring Supplies

    Dear donors,

    We will be using the art supplies during art time. As of right now, I am using the supplies that I had purchased over the summer for emergency. The order for the supplies from donors choose will arrive later than I expected.

    Right now, my students are excited to use the crayons that I have provided for each of them including the leftover markers from last school year. They are looking forward to see the brand new supplies arriving this coming October 2016.

    The next steps will be for us to use the brand new supplies to work on Halloween art project, Thanksgiving, and Christmas projects.”

  • Cleaning Supplies

    Dear donors,

    My students and I had used the cleaning supplies such as the cleaning wipes to clean our desks before the school year of 2015-2016 started to end. We also used the anti-bacterial hand-soaps before we headed to lunch or when our hands are dirty. We used the hand sanitizer on a daily basis before we headed to lunch.

    When my students saw all the supplies shipped and hand-delivered to the classroom, they were shocked and so excited to help carry the boxes to places in the class. They felt grateful for all the supplies!

    The next steps in which my future students from the new school year 2016-2017 would do will be spending time to clean the classroom every Friday. They will continue to use all the tissues, cleaning wipes, hand sanitizers, and the hand soaps when they need them.”

My students are very imaginative and love to do art. Every time it is time for arts and crafts, my students get so excited! My school is a small diverse school in Sacramento, but filled with eager learners. I hope that with more art supplies, my students can expand their imaginations.
