  • Creating an Energized Classroom Fit for Learning and Growing

    Thank you for supporting this project. I received so many boxes that I had to temporarily empty another closet. That's a great problem to have.

    My students have been utilizing the snack shack (a closet in my classroom) frequently. Many students are in school until 5:20pm most days with after school programs. This means that they have really long school days. These snacks have been helping to fuel them throughout these long day.

    As we hit January, I am confident that these snacks will continue to support my students well into the coming months.”

  • 7th Graders Grow Daily & Their Energy Depends On This

    Every time I out out a call for support, I am always so blessed and grateful that you all respond. Thank you so much for helping to give my 7th graders (and a few of the 6th and 8th graders as well) some energy to keep pushing throughout the long school day.

    It is with my deepest gratitude that I share this update and photos with you. Although they may not be smiling because who can really tell a tween to smile, they have had breakfast and/or a snack and have a little extra oomph for the day.

  • High Interest Summer Reads for Some Cool Kiddos

    These books and graphic novels have help to make my classroom library a popular place to engage students. So many have found not only summer reads, but books that will take them into the school year with a bright start for their independent reading lives. Thank you for contributing to this.

    Students have been reaching for these books and I have even created a borrow list for those who want the same book. Thanks for helping to make my classroom library's popular picks bookshelf a hit! I hope to be able to continue to add to this shelf as more and more students request books that they are interested in. Thanks for helping to plant the first seed that will flourish with time!”
