My students range in age from 11-13 years old. Each one has a disability; some of them have Autism, some had ADHD, some Emotional Impairments, etc.
These disabilities affect how they learn and also how effective they are with monitoring their own behavior. The materials I am requesting for this project will go for a reward system to students after they have completed checking in and out with each teacher they have throughout the day. At the end of they day, a staff member goes over the sheet used for the system, reading any comments written by any teachers and how the overall day went for the student. The idea is that the student is continuously being conscious of their own behavior throughout the day. This system allows for reflection by the student as well to determine what went well or ways to improve their behavior for the next day.
If students met the criteria for the day, they choose a prize/reward.
