Technology is a part of just about every aspect of life, especially in education. Innovators are continually coming up with new ways to help students improve their learning experience by both challenging them and by using technology students are already using. In the theatre world we are very excited about one new app in particular called Production Pro. This app was designed by a professional stage manager to help students and professionals improve their theatrical craft. Through the use of a classroom set of iPads, my students will increase their ability to learn their lines and choreography for our upcoming performance of 1776, the Musical this Fall. Not only that, but these iPads will be able to be used for years to come to help our students with their future school musicals. Production Pro has everything a student actor needs to learn their lines and their choreography right at their fingertips. Through the use of iPads, our students will be able to not only learn their lines, music and dances more quickly, but will also be able to collaborate more efficiently with their fellow actors and directors. Production Pro is a game changer in the performing arts today, and with your help my students will have access to this program on a daily basis through the use of their classroom set of iPads.
