A Senior Send Off: Books to Inspire

Thank you so very much for helping fund this project. When seniors arrived at their graduation they were so surprised to see the books on their seats. Their faces lit up. This was the first time many of the students got to see each other and their teachers after a full year of remote learning. Choosing the books given to these 18-year-olds was very deliberate. The Alchemist was the first choice. Essentially it is a book about the quest for knowledge. Even though high school is over their quest for knowledge should not be over. This book is very inspiration and will help them continue to be life-long learners. In fact, three days after graduation, when the students came to pick up their diplomas, one graduate came up to me to discuss the book. In the three days he had already read the entire book and loved it. The second book, was more fun, but still inspirational. It is a fun book about celebrating your accomplishments and moving on to the next stage of life. These books were selected to help these teenagers continue on with their journey to adulthood. And without your help this would never have been possible. So again, I thank you for your donations.”
