  • Help Me Give My Kids a Percussion Ensemble!

    Thanks so much for donating to this campaign!!!! It means to world to me and to my kids. This current school year that we are already in, even though we are still fighting a global pandemic, we will try to return to normalcy as much as we can. That includes music activities. Sports are returning like football and for the first time, our kids at Seed will be able to play home games!!!!! Your donation has helped us tremendously in that now we can actually start our Percussion Ensemble and Drum Line which can later be amended to include horns and brass forming a marching band!!!!!!!

    When the kids saw the new drums that we have now, they were so excited! Some of the kids have not seen them yet but they will at our upcoming meeting and information session. I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces!!!

    I'll be sure to upload pictures and videos on that day!!!

We are requesting drums which will help us continue to help students engage in captivating music lessons. The students will learn about team work, collaboration, rhythm, melody, pitch and performance etiquette. Learning how to play rhythms will assist the students in other areas like reading, writing, math, science and the other arts. In addition students will practice valuable 21st century skills. Students will learn cadences that they will practice for performing in small groups. Students will perform for school performances, games and other events that engage the school and local community. These performances will assist in promoting positive school spirit and school pride.

About my class
