Currently, I teach four rotations of math with each class containing 30 students. Due to funding, my classes only have eight computers to use for online resources that are related to the standards that are being taught. Adding these tablets to my classroom, will give my students the ability to be engaged in standardized practice (IXL) as well as interactive practice as it relates to the standards that are being taught. Everyone knows that math has a negative connotation, and I'd like to shift that narrative by providing more resources to be used for practice with my students. I am the only middle school math teacher for the students that rotate between classes, and this would aid in keeping more students on task and engaged in learning.
