These read-aloud books will directly impact my students' learning by enabling us to have class discussions aligned to Missouri State Learning Standards such as asking and answering questions, lesson or moral, vocabulary, story structure, point of view, history, writing, research, character analysis, dictionary skills, compare and contrast and more. My goal for my students is for them to be able to make connections in the text to these standards then in return be able to identify them within their own independent reading. I believe the art of a good read aloud has become lost in our busy world and sometimes we need to slow down and enjoy a good book!

About my class
