English Language Arts, Math and Tactile Fine Motor Centers
Funded Feb 26, 2020THANK YOU! I am beyond grateful for your generous contributions to my classroom!
I unpacked the boxes during class. My students were in awe. Besides the squeals, they all wanted to know when we could open the materials. One student came over and hugged my leg. I told him, it was YOU, my financial angels, who deserve this hug. ♥️
YOU have given my students new center experiences. Students are using the stamps and stamping the alphabet, sight words and their names. It's reinforcing our state standards that letters make words and spaces are used between words. The stamps allow my students to grip something other than a pencil to make letters and words.
YOU have given my students the tools to match numbers and number pictures up to 100. They're enjoying recognizing shape patterns and working as a team to solve the patterns. It's been exciting to watch!
Two students work at a time using the balance. They're using the 3D shapes deciding what combinations weigh the same. I like watching their critical thinking skills in action.
The giant number line is magnetically hanging on my white board. I have incorporated it into my morning routine. I love the fact that multiple students can physically touch it and move a frog via jumping around the number line. We work on our oral language, math vocabulary and critical thinking skills.
Wow! My students are loving our new class tactile centers. Everyday I am asked,"When are we doing centers?"
Thank YOU for choosing MY class! Again, we are grateful and so appreciative.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Nelson

Funded Aug 15, 2019Thank you so much for funding my ELA small group centers! My kindergarten students went crazy when I showed them all the cool activities they'll have the opportunity to explore during the school year. We're now at a great time in the school year to open more the boxed activities. We've been working on our alphabet and alphabet sounds, learning sight words and sounding out simple words. These new centers are such a FANTASTIC addition to our classroom. The kids are truly excited to explore and build within each activity.
These resources are so perfect for small group work. I have hosted a center and worked with the kiddos, and the kids are capable of working independently. It's a great feeling knowing I can work with just a couple students and reinforce a concept. Also, it's wonderful to be able to walk around the centers and pop in -- clarify a confusion or rejoice in an understood concept.
The next step for my students is to take what they can do and build on the concept. For example, kids are building simple words. Now, we'll be working to expand by writing a simple sentence with the CVC word they built. Once the kids recognize the sight words on the game board, we can play bingo and see who can identify the sight words the quickest. The opportunities are endless.
Again, I am so grateful for your financial support. My kindergarteners are blessed to have educational supporters!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Nelson
