Future careers are geared toward the use of computer science as well as many High School and college leveled tasks. Without the knowledge of computer science many students in NYC that have little exposure to computer science will be limited in opportunity in the future, especially those with a disadvantage of special needs. For example, recent studies show that the majority of computer science students are white males, thus leaving a huge gap in the number of opportunities for female, minority, and special needs students. These tools will help give students a tactile, visual and comprehensive understanding of coding/programming that are vital to their future success.
