Art is an excellent way for students to express themselves. They also write wonderful essays and love to illustrate the stories with colorful drawings.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Con Edison and 2 other donors.

My second graders and I use our meeting area quite frequently. We use it for class lessons, group work, and as a place for students to work as an alternative to the traditional desk. However, the floor tiles can be quite cold. If we were able to get these two rugs, it would give my 30 students and I a cozier spot to gather. It will also brighten up our whole classroom and make it a more inviting place for staff and students. The carpet teaches as well, reminding students of some of the genres they are interested in right now.
