During the past decade that I have taught in my district, I have routinely been on the front end of utilizing technology in the classroom. At various times I have used grants to bring new technology tools to my classroom and the classrooms of fellow teachers. I recently confirmed with my technology department that I will receive an Apple TV box next year so that my students can connect directly with my projector for presentations and projects in class. It is important that students can connect to district provided equipment and make best use of existing resources. The equipment I am requesting with this grant will allow me to connect the new Apple TV with my projector while maintaining the ability to use a previously obtained Elmo document camera, and also allow my students to play sound from their computers to my existing grant funded sound system during project presentations. Without these cables and hub accessories I will not be able to make the technology tools in my room function together properly. In these years of tight budgets, it is really difficult to keep my students on the cutting edge...please support this effort and help me keep preparing my students to work in our technology filled society!
