This project will help continue to give public school junior students at Narbonne High School the opportunity to read American classics that have been loved by students for generations. The Catcher in the Rye and The Great Gatsby work amazingly well with interdisciplinary lessons. The Great Gatsby works especially well with US History and the Jazz Age. The Catcher in the Rye is an excellent resource for US History for Post WWII. I have worked with History teachers at our school and collaborated on lesson plans with the two novels. Both English and History classes highly benefit from these resources.
