My kindergarten class appreciates your kindness and generosity towards our classroom! We are using our new classroom meeting rug everyday. It is so nice for the students to have their very own space to sit on our rug. Not only is it wonderful for our morning meetings, but also for a great variety of lessons and activities as well. When we need to spread out to work on letter writing, reading with partners, math or developing our fine motor skills with pokey pin activities; our rug is perfect! We truly enjoy the individual spaces during our large motor brain break activities!
My students were so excited when they arrived at school as usual to find a beautiful new rug in the place of our small old one. Each one had exciting things to say about the new rug. They said, "Look at all the colors", "It's like a rainbow", "It's so clean", "Wow, it's really big". My students were waiting with anticipation to find out where their new spot would be on our new rug. They are less crowded and have their very own space, they love it!”

My students are in need of a new large area meeting rug. We have been using a very old carpet this school year. Our current rug is not large enough to fit all the students comfortably. We use small carpet squares to make additional room for everybody. The current rug is also very dirty and fraying on the edges in several areas. The classroom rug is the center of our learning in the classroom. It is important that all the students feel welcome and part of the group. I would like all the students to be comfortable while they are engaged and learning. Having a rug with individual sections for each child will give each student the ability to have their own learning spot, thus enabling them to stay focused on their learning journey.
