What my students will feel when they walk into the Special Ed Math classroom?
Colors, excitement laughter and encouragement!
The colorful markers and traffic lights will set the classroom ambiance--math does not have to be boring! Complete a math worksheet to see the answer to a funny joke! Play a game with the buzzers where teams will work through algebraic equations, showing work, coming up with an answer before any other team. Read the motivational sayings on the wall which will encourage, lift up and inspire these kids to do great things at school and outside of school!
Often times, Special Ed has a negative connotation. These kids should be proud of the way God made them and strive for success every step of the way! A fun Math classroom will help them do this.
