Our school is nearing the end of its fourth year--our first with graduating seniors!--and we have come a long way. Our library, in particular, which used to consist of a handful of book shelves and only a few hundred books, has grown in leaps and bounds. We've worked hard over the last few years to reclaim reading for our high school students by prioritizing reading for joy and student choice. The most important factor in this, of course, is providing students with robust options for independent reading. While our library is so much more than it once was, we still have a long way to go before our shelves are consistently stocked with titles our students want to read. It would mean the world to our students to have more fun, engaging, relevant titles on our shelves for them to choose from. This list consists entirely of student requests and related titles. All books will go to our school library and help us continue to prioritize literacy and a lifelong love of reading in our scholars!
