Having the opportunity to introduce my students to the game of golf is an awesome privilege. Watching my golfers go from picking up a club for the very first time to parring their first hole on a course is an amazing experience. However, it is sometimes a challenge to find the right equipment for my players. I am a true believer that students learn about perseverance and integrity through the game of golf and by helping to put new equipment in their hands you will be helping to keep them on course, all pun intended. Most of the equipment that we use was donated and is very old. I have worked to add new equipment over the last few years, but I have a very small budget to work with and after providing practice opportunities and golf balls there is not much left for clubs and bags. Being able to put better equipment in the hands of my kids will put them in a better position to enjoy the game. It has been awesome to see the courage that my players show when playing against more experienced players, often who have their own, as my students say, "fancier" equipment.
