"I Get it Now!" Math Manipulatives and Visuals
Funded May 11, 2022I'd like to take a moment to thank you once again for your donation to my project. My students have enjoyed the math manipulatives and games we received. The materials are engaging and fun to use. I am using the materials during both math and RTI times. My students come from diverse backgrounds and many don't have access to learning games at home. As a result, they are often very excited to use these materials at school. The bright colors and game like format draw them in and they don't even know they are learning. I look forward to using these materials for years to come.”

Let's Get Comfy and Learn!
Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you very much for your generous donation to my classroom. My students love the lap desks and containers to hold their supplies. My students and I are very grateful to now have a class set of lap desks. We are looking forward to warmer weather so we can bring our lessons outside. In the meantime, we are taking advantage of the lap desks as a way to socially distance while we complete classwork. The lap desks are much smaller than traditional desks, therefore my students are able to spread out around the room. I also find that many students are more comfortable on the floor with these desks than they are at a traditional desk. once again, thank you very much for supporting my classroom.”

Funded Sep 30, 2020Thank you very much for your generous donation to my project. My students were very excited to dive into all the new titles added to my classroom library.
This year we began a new reading curriculum titled, Wit and Wisdom. Topics we learn about include Native Americans (particularly the Nez Perce tribe), the Civil War, and Civil Rights. Many of the books added to our library through this project tie into our classroom lessons. My students are eager to read more about each of these topics after we complete the modules in class. Students can read books from my classroom library when they finish classwork early or any other time we find ourselves with a few extra minutes. The new additions have provided many more choices for my students to choose from.
My classroom is very diverse. Students from all walks of life learn beside each other. My students have enjoyed finding books that represent themselves and their classmates. These books have helped my students see their peers point of view on many topics. They have also prompted many meaningful classrooms discussions.
I look forward to sharing these books with my students for many years to come. Once again, thank you very much for supporting my classroom.”

Funded May 28, 2020I want to take a moment and thank you once again for your generous donation to my classroom. As this school year has progressed, my students are enjoying the seating options available to them. The lap desks have been a class favorite and the wobble cushions are definitely a close second. My students love to be able to move around the room and complete their work in comfy positions.
When my students saw the materials they were very excited. The bright colors are cheerful and add pops of color to our classroom. My students have taken great pride in these resources.
Since these seating options have gone over so well with this class, I have decided to research other flexible seating options in hopes of allowing more seating choices and greater seating flexibility in my classroom. My hope is that every student will be able to work in a spot, with a seat, that they are most comfortable in. Everyone learns best when they comfortable!”

Funded Jun 18, 2019Thank you very much for your donations to my project. Throughout this year my students were able get hands on with math. Being able to put manipulatives in the hands of each student meant they were able to actually see math in action. Many students are visual learners and this helps them tremendously with their comprehension and understanding. When the items arrived my students were very excited. Everyone loves to get new "toys" and math maniplulatives are no different. The bright colors and fun pieces help to engage my students. I look forward to being able to use these materials for many years to come. Thank you very much for your donation.”
