My First Graders have done an incredible job transitioning back to in-person learning this year. Some of their favorite activities is choosing books from our classroom library and going to their Library Special once a week. They've worked hard to learn independent reading routines, and they get to read at their own pace and explore books on their reading level every day. Covid restrictions make it difficult for them to read anywhere other than at their desks, so they need somewhere to store all their books. A sturdy seat bag will be just what they need! Spending so much time at a desk is challenging for all of us, but especially for early learners. Students have lots of opportunities to move throughout the day, but the fidget bands will give kids additional support with their sensory needs while they're working at their desks. Finally, my students are very creative and love to write and draw. They answer a question of the day every morning during breakfast, and the primary journals will be a great place for them to compose all their work. These 100-page journals will also give them and their families the opportunity to witness their writing growth throughout the year.
