"Play is a Child's Work." Our school has 750 students, K-6, who love Physical Education! I see every student once a week. We go outside to play whenever weather permits, but it is often snowy, or too cold, or rainy. So I need to create some indoor exercise excitement. Our district is asking for more integration of Literacy and Math Core in our Specialty classes. Wouldn't it be awesome if they could get exercise while learning their core subjects at the same time? Help me help them, so we end the trend towards childhood obesity and learn at the same time! My Project We do not have a way to project images or programs on a screen in my gym without placing expensive projector equipment in the middle of the playing area. So I would love a 65"-80" TV to put on the stage of our gym. I have downloaded on my laptop several clips of famous athletes giving good sportsmanship and leadership tips for young people, and others with dance movements using vocabulary words. The possibilities are endless. Your donation to this project will help over 720 students in K-6 at our school get on the right road to do their part to fight childhood obesity and increase their knowledge of PE related literacy and math core. Teaching the students the importance of staying in shape is the key to their future.
