I have been a New York City Public School teacher for 8 years. Currently, I work at a Title I school which means we serve students who are most at risk for failing and children who are experiencing homelessness. Last year I taught in an inclusive kindergarten class where about half of my students received special education services for a variety of needs from speech delays to occupational therapy to physical and behavioral needs. Coming this early September, I will be teaching in an inclusive kindergarten class once more.
