A new iPad will reinforce and motivate my students during therapy. It will be used as a tool to help them complete their assignments. It will provide an engaging way for them to conduct research, develop outlines, work collaboratively on a topic (i.e. research NY landmarks and significance for book publishing project). An iPad can be used in many ways to reinforce skills and facilitate language development. They will be able to create both independent and group projects in order to show a true understanding of concepts. All students will be able to access learning through technology on a daily basis. My students come from various cultural backgrounds, creating a truly unique and diverse group, and many lack access to the technology that they need. I believe my students should not be held back because of a lack of funds. They deserve to explore and learn on the same level as students who have this access.
