Ten frames, activity centers, and Theraputty are great resources that would benefit my special education students greatly! Due to their various disabilities, we often spend weeks to months on specific academic skills in order to achieve their individualized education goals. They really benefit from hands-on and interactive activities that reinforce skills we are working on. My students would love being able to use different interactive literacy centers during our reading block in order to improve letter-sound recognition, sight word and phonics fluency, and a hands-on, electronic calendar. In math, we would love to use the white boards to help us identify numbers, add and subtract using number bonds, fact families, and ten frames. For our social skills and gross motor skills, we could utilize Theraputty and Hop & Squeak Pogo jumpers.
