Collaborative groups that consistently change are an important part of our classroom. Students need to move their chairs into different settings throughout the day. Currently, we have a mix of sturdy chairs that are very heavy and light chairs that are too small for most sixth graders. Quality chairs that physically support our students will lead to more effective learning. Our students will use the chairs to sit in small groups with teachers, meet with peers, and quietly work independently. We need comfortable chairs that are light weight so that all our students can sit in any chair and transport them easily.
