Last year our 7th & 8th grade robotics students built a robot for Cummins in Columbus, Indiana. The robot would allow the operator to drive and record video of their facilities for a virtual tour. This year we are building a security robot for our school. This robot will be able to record video sending a live feed back to the controller from any location in the school. The operator will be able to drive and turn the camera in any direction. Our robotics teams work from August through March designing, building and programming robots for FIRST in the FTC division. We have qualified for the State Championship two years in a row. The extra work we are doing in the last two months of the school year provides training for our youngest team members. Students must plan, design and build their robot with materials left over from previous builds. We will need to purchase some additional materials. We have been using students' personal laptop computers to take to our competitions. We would like to have a couple team laptop computers, but I am only asking for one.
