  • Takeoff to Individualized Reading!

    Funded May 28, 2023

Thank you for you generous donation to students in need regarding their literacy deficits. These resources will help students attain literacy gains at their individual level and gain a new found confidence in reading. The leveled decodable readers will isolate the specific skills that students demonstrate a dire need to achieve.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Collinsworth

  • Spotting Our Emotions and Feelings

    Funded May 3, 2022

Thank you for supporting our PASS program and for helping with identifying our emotions and feelings. This will help our most at-risk students with naming how they are feeling and finding strategies to regulate. This will help many students beyond this school year, and I can't be appreciative enough of the impact you've made.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Collinsworth

  • Increased Exposure through Guided Reading

    Funded Jul 26, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my project "Increased Exposure through Guided Reading." You have enabled my students to be introduced to rich texts, provided practice with fluency and comprehension, and allowed students to take books home to practice with their families!

My students have shown an overall improvement in their fluency and confidence by using these leveled texts to read to 2nd-grade students through our buddy reading system! We will continue to use these books to support our younger students with learning to read and becoming confident readers themselves!

My students have also had the opportunity to "check out" books and take them home to practice with their families. The families have been able to see their child reading confidently and have been able to share in this wonderful experience. Thank you once again for making a lasting impact on these students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Collinsworth

  • We Just Need to Wobble!

    Funded Aug 13, 2019

I am extremely grateful for all of the generous donations given to our resource room! Through our flexible seating, my students have been able to flexibly learn throughout our resource blocks! My students enjoy that they can adjust their seats to meet their specific needs. My students have also enjoyed utilizing the headphones to work on projects such as Regions of the United States, My Colony, and the Mars Landing Rover!

When my students saw we had several large boxes, there were many questions asked! My students were excited to help open the boxes and we celebrated as they realized all of these items would be used by our classroom! They were very happy to see headphones they could utilize in class!

In our classroom, we have been working on addition and subtraction of regrouping using base-10 pieces on our Ipads! We have also been learning about finding the main idea and supporting details of a story using Newsela, task cards, and Flipgrid! My students have enjoyed using the flexible seating along with the technology!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Collinsworth

Flexible seating options will provide my differentiated learners with any opportunity to move freely throughout a lesson without the worry of distractions! The wobble cushions will allow for my students who require motor breaks to freely move throughout a lesson to support their attention needs. My students are more engaged and less disruptive to peers when they are given opportunities to move throughout a lesson. Students will be able to pick flexible seating that will allow them to be successful in the classroom. By incorporating these kind of materials, my students will be able to regulate their motor needs and continue to learn in the best way that works for them!
