  • Bring on Biology!

    Funded Nov 1, 2023

We would like to thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. We love all the wonderful new supplies that you helped us purchase and cannot wait to use them all! It is because of caring individuals like you that my students have the opportunity to learn new and exciting information in fun ways. These science materials are also important because they give my students a different way to learn about the world around them, and they get to experience using equipment that they may never have had the opportunity to before.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Freese

This classroom project was brought to life by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and 10 other donors.
  • Simple Machines

    Funded May 10, 2023

We are so thankful for your generous donation to get equipment for our science class. Having materials in which my students can physically manipulate makes understanding how simple machines work much easier and definitely more exciting. The students have been able to more easily see and understand why and how we use various simple machines in our everyday lives. It is because of individuals like you that I can provide my students with the in-depth/hands-on curriculum that they need and deserve. We are so grateful that you choose to donate to us and would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Freese

  • Germs and How They Spread!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you so much for your donation... because of your generosity, my students were able to learn hands on about germs and limiting their spread through proper hand washing. I'm sure that your donation not only educated my students, but it helped them understand the importance of measures we take in limiting the spread of germs in society and how the steps they take to stay clean can exponentially affect everyones health around them. This lesson not only benefited my students, but it will essentially benefit everyone they come in contact with throughout their lives.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Freese

  • Supporting Skills for Life

    Funded Jan 19, 2022

Thank you so much for helping me reach my goal! My students have greatly enjoyed using the materials that were purchased for them. We have been practicing our money, time, writing and and reading skills. My students have expressed how much them love using the materials and how happy they are to learn about things they will need in their everyday lives after graduation. It is because of individuals like you that I am able to support my students in the way that I can. I know the donation that you provided will have a positive affect on my students for a lifetime.”

  • How Solar Energy, Water and Plate Tectonics Affect Our Earth

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

Thank you so much for your donation. The students absolutely love the new equipment you help to provide to our classroom. They were so excited to see it when it was delivered. Since we received our supplies, the students have had a wonderful time using them to understand what is being taught in class.

There favorite piece of equipment so far is the Shake, Rattle and Roll Table. They have learned about earthquakes, how scientists study them, and how people have built real life buildings to withstand earthquakes. I have attached a picture of one of the structures that my students built.

Your support means the world to me and my students and I cannot thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Freese

  • Building a Science Lab

    Funded May 4, 2021

Words cannot express how thankful I am about receiving your generous donation! It has helped me provide my students will basic equipment that is needed in any science classroom. By providing funding to get my students beakers, thermometers, magnifying glasses, rulers, test tubes, droppers, stirring rods, tweezers, forceps, probes, scoopulas and trays, you have enabled me as a teacher to expand and diversify my curriculum. My students are more involved in their learning, and more excited about coming to class. Please know that you have positively affected and influenced many young learners for generations to come!”

  • Electrical Circuits and Wavelengths in Light

    Funded Apr 2, 2021

I want to thank you so much for donating funds to my classroom. Your kind donation has given my students the chance to experience more concrete, hands-on learning opportunities. They were so excited to see and use all the wonderful equipment that was purchased for them.

Since our equipment was delivered, my students have had the opportunity to work on understanding electrical circuits by constructing open and closed circuits as well as series and parallel circuits, and they have used prisms, flashlights, tuning forks and slinkies to investigate how light and sound move.

I know that your donation will have a lasting impact on my students because they are more excited about learning. Their eyes light up when they know they can use the new equipment to carry out their labs. Again, thank you so much; this equipment will be put to good use for many years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Freese

This classroom project was brought to life by Stavros Niarchos Foundation and 4 other donors.
These kits will allow me to provide students with not only visual but hands-on demonstrations of concepts they need to learn. For students who are learning virtually, I will be able to either record experiments or provide kits for students to borrow and return. With the materials in this project, students will not only be able to physically put circuits together to know how they work, they will also be able to build a greater understanding of wavelengths in light and sound and how these concepts can connect to their everyday lives.
