  • Moving and Learning!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

My students are so grateful for your donations. When I opened up the boxes and they saw the seating options, they were thrilled! We have limited desk space and seating options, many students are stuck in the back of the room and are often unable to see the board well. These stools and cushions made it possible for them to move where they needed to. My students love having the autonomy to work where they please. As long as they are on task, they are free to sit anywhere around the room.

These stools made it easier for me to have them work in partnerships or groups without the major hassle of moving their desks and chairs around. It is also much less difficult for me to pull a small group to work with. My students are so happy with all of the supplies we received, it has made them more motivated to work together, which is a major component of their curriculum. We are all enjoying the new energy and movement in our classroom! Thank you so much!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Radovich

  • Center Making Supplies!

    Funded Feb 3, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation. These are a few of the centers we have been using and loving in our class. Your donations made it possible for me to create numerous centers and independent learning activities for the students to enjoy!

We use small group learning time as a way to help support students with what they need in an engaging way. If we didn't have Donors Choose and supporters like you this would never have been possible. This is especially beneficial to the students who need extra support in a particular area. It has made it much easier to identify students and give them the targeted support and instruction they need in appealing way. This is their favorite time of the day!! I love it too because they are learning and fully engaged!

Thank you again for your support!”

  • Personal and Productive!

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

This has been a very different year for us. The students have been my shining light in all this darkness. Our school has been closed so many times because of positive cases, and through it all the children have persevered. Their smiles and thirst for knowledge has kept us all going.

Many of the families in our school community were affected, not only by the virus, but by its consequences. So many of the families worked in businesses that were affected and shut down. Numerous members of our families lost their jobs and it has been a struggle. Being able to give my students new supplies, thanks to you, was a blessing for many families. The children were thrilled to get their own notebook and folder, such simple things, but it made such a huge impact. I can't thank you enough for supporting me and my students.

As the students settled into the class they were grateful to have something of their own. Many children were traumatized and nervous in school. The constant back and forth from remote to classroom added to their uneasiness. They really liked to use the folders as their personal space. They were truly grateful to have their own supplies, sharing was something they unfortunately learned to be afraid to do. My hope is that this coming September we can get some normalcy back. Once again, I thank you so much for all your support, especially in such difficult times!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Radovich

  • Big Easel, Big Books, Big Dreams!

    Funded Sep 24, 2019

I can't even begin to explain what a huge impact these materials have had on our classroom. The easel is wonderful! The children were so excited when they saw it. We use it EVERY DAY! From shared writing, to teaching points and graphic organizers, small group, whole class, it is a truly appreciated essential!

The students also love the big book set. It has been a helpful addition to our reading periods. The students especially enjoy reading with each other in the meeting area.

Thank you so much for adding these amazing resources to our classroom!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Radovich

  • Cultural Fair Construction

    Funded Apr 23, 2019

The materials that we received from you really helped us learn so much. The ink for the printer enabled the students to do research on the computer and print out photographs and information. The students were able to research in small groups and then create pamphlets where they shared their information. Not only did they learn from each other, they were so proud to share what they learned with other classes and teachers.

All of the art supplies and display boards helped us to make a beautiful display at the fair. The students chose what they wanted to make based on what they learned. It was truly a display they were proud of.

Thank you so much for making our learning come alive at the fair!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Radovich

Our first grade class is in desperate need of art and presentation supplies. We are working hard on our Project Based Learning and we are almost ready to share all that we have learned with our classmates and school community. The items we asked for will help us design and construct fantastic creations that will be displayed at our first grade cultural fair. We are working on sharing all that we have learned about China and Chinese culture and traditions with our classmates. Unfortunately, we have no ink for our classroom printer, and are running low on art materials to construct our projects. Our class will appreciate your donations more than these simply words can convey.
