In support of the Better Make Room campaign, our high school will be hosting its first ever College Signing Day! We hope to continue the movement of inspiring all students to take control of their future and choose to continue their education after high school, whatever their path! CHS will be holding a school-wide assembly to celebrate those current seniors who are choosing to move on to a professional training program, a community college, a four-year college or university, or the military. This event will be set up similarly to our athletic signing events but on a much larger scale! We will hold the College Signing Day during the school day in the high school gymnasium. The entire student body excluding the senior class will fill the bleachers with cheers and excitement as they get the opportunity to congratulate their upperclassmen on the decision to take charge of their future! All seniors will then be called out individually to be recognized for their unique post-secondary decision and will sign a certificate in front of their classmates. We plan to make this event look as spectacular as it feels with balloon arch backdrops that border our large screen as it projects each student's future school mascot up for all to see. We have small but special (and reusable) touches everywhere from the table clothes for the tables where students will sign to the feather pens they sign with! We want this event to be special not just for our proud seniors, but for the entire student body. Our hope is that all students will find excitement in the celebration, and it will provide one more way to motivate them to further their education and set a plan to reach their future goals!
