  • More Ink = More Learning

    Funded Nov 28, 2023

I am truly happy to happy color ink in the classroom. We are able to print materials and students definitely notice the difference when they get a black and white work versus a nice paper with color. They learn to recognize the color in both languages, English and Spanish. The students seem to be more engaged during center time with all the pictures to develop their first and second language acquisition. All learners, including students with special needs, are grateful.

    Thank you for your donations.”

  • Brighter Classroom

    Funded Feb 11, 2023

As a Dual Language teacher, I need to have a colorful classroom. If you walk in my classroom, you will see a classroom full of red and blue. Read represents Spanish and blue is for English. This Brighter Classroom project helps label the class red and blue accordingly.

This project helps me create centers in color. Now I am able to print activities in color for the whole class. Could you imagine teaching a class about colors in any language without color ink? My students and I appreciate your donations. This project makes a big difference in our classroom.”

  • Bringing Stories to Life

    Funded Jan 8, 2023

Bringing Stories to life helped me create an unforgettable writing unit. When I mentioned the idea of creating a diorama, my students couldn't believe it. They asked, "how are we going to do that? " and did not believe they could create characters with clay. But when the materials arrived they got creative instantly.

My students loved our unit. They were so enthusiastic and motivated. They did not want to miss school because they wanted to complete their writing pieces and create their diorama. Thank you for your donations.”

Most of my students struggle with reading and math. They all have different strengths and weakness in both subjects. This is why they need to be grouped to get the support they need to push and fill the gaps they have. When I do centers, I meet with a group of students, another group is doing another activity and the third group use technology. Due to the lack of technology, not all my students are able to use technology. By having more tables, students will be able to have center time. I will be able to meet with a small group and other students get individualized instruction in the Ipads. This will help my students to be ready for the next year.
