  • Blood Drive Thank You Bags

    Funded Nov 20, 2024

We were able to use the items for a community Blood Drive that took place Thursday December 5th. Each donor received a thank you bag that was filled with supplies. In addition, students who helped organize the Blood Drive received supplies as well. They were appreciative and felt valued.

We were able to collect pints of blood to benefit those who suffer from Sickle Cell, traumatic incidents, or other conditions. The event was smooth, and donors asked we are hosting another drive. This would not have been possible without your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pickett

  • Fund the Fundamentals!

    Funded Nov 14, 2024

Students truly appreciated the products they received! Some of the items were on the desks as a surprise when they entered the room. Simple things bring so much joy. It also made them feel cared for, valued, and understood.

They truly appreciated the variety of sanitary items in their correct sizes. Due to inflation, it is difficult for females to have the proper hygiene products when needed. They were able to obtain what they needed and put in their personal bags.

The snacks alleviate hunger and maintain their attention to learning tasks. We used the other supplies for class projects, activities, and review games. I am relieved to be able to offer them to students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pickett

  • Equip the Essentials!

    Funded Nov 15, 2023

The students and I are extremely grateful for your generosity. Students have been using the notebooks, folders, and other supplies for not only my class, but for other classes as well. They are much more prepared and neat. Also, the items have been nice to give to students if they were left at home or lost. Students no longer feel frustrated or overwhelmed.

They love what you have provided. Each day they are able to enjoy snacks. They are no longer hungry and have been much more engaged. Their mood is lifted and show more energy.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pickett

  • Sayre Cultural Day

    Funded May 11, 2023

Thank you for contributing to Sayre Cultural day! Students enjoyed trying food from country/cultures of all over the world. It opened their eyes to the similarities as well as the differences. It was also fun way to engage with one another and step outside their comfort zone.

The experience was one that students have not had before. They were pleasantly surprised and excited. There has been more respect and appreciation of diversity since Cultural Day. Without your donation, it would not have been possible.”

  • Suit Up Sayre Future Healthcare Workers

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you very much for your generous contribution! I appreciate you taking the time to donate, which allowed students to have a powerful experience.

You helped provide professional business attire to students while attending a Health Occupations Student Association conference. Most of them never knew what business attire was or when/why required. They also did not have the resources to buy the items themselves. Wearing the donated suits increased their confidence and fulfilled the required dress code while attending the conference.

The conference itself was life changing for students! It allowed them to join over 1,500 peers from the state who are future health professionals. They have never been around such a diverse and talented group of leaders. Students were able to compete and demonstrate skills, receive academic insight and support, and gain career opportunities in the health industry. Plus, they were able to stay and an upscale hotel away from their families- which was also a first for some of them.

You inspired students by letting them know that someone truly cares about them and their future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pickett

  • Mind Over Matter: High School Student Government Association (Philadelphia)

    Funded Nov 12, 2022

Thank you very much again for your generous contribution! You funded several things for our students. We were able to host an in school dance, develop a calming sensory space, and an ongoing peer group to discuss social, mental, emotional, family, school issues.

The students were thrilled to see a plan come to fruition. Unfortunately, there are many times that they have great ideas, but do not see those plans carried out. They were pleasantly surprised to see the benefits of their hard work.

You helped motivate them to continue to plan additional projects for the school.

Students are now planning additional activities to promote the overall wellbeing of students. This has included a gun violence event with members of the community, a "Spread the Love" campaign, restorative practices, community service, and fun in-school events.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Pickett
